This was not that, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but seeing this fuuck that, shame on me for believing that there is no way that both the NFL and the Ravens saw the whole tape and that there must have been something that showed anything other than a dude in an argument hitting pushing off on her once and then just cold cocking his her in the face...

Seriously though the League p much can't do poo poo, they can pressure the Ravens, this is probably going to have to be taken through the Law, which it seems as though it's already been handled with his admittance into a first time offenders program.

Nope, any lawyer worth there salt would be able to make the argument that the NFL saw that video and thus it's not new evidence. Since there are enough conflicting reports to make it so. Also the fact that they have said what they were told lines up with the events of the video.

If I'm a players union I fight like hell to defend my players from having to face double penalties due to public outcry.

I may hate the person, but you can't make a concession like that, and it's bullshit to expect the union to do so.

The Ravens are the only entity able to do anything(Already been handled legally) and they are only able to cut him.

Really, just someone hideously dropped the ball somewhere; either they saw the tapes and are trying to cover up their lying asses now, or they actually immediately backed down on a 'no' answer from whoever they went to for the tapes. Like, "Well we didn't get to see EVERYTHING that happened because of *mumblemumblemumble* so 2-game suspension it is!"

And in either case, Goodell is a moron at best.

Shrug, a pre-trial intervention and probation aren't too far out of the norm for situations like these. Like the dude was as far as the law was concerned squeaky clean, if she didn't want to press the issue, and she said this was a one time event, I can completely understand a prosecutor just handing out a plea deal of a probation and community service or something.

It's just a reaaaaal bad look when the tape gets out and it's significantly worse looking than how it was explained it to the public.
