A website where you can view the top stories of every country. It would be a minimalist view, maybe like tiles or something representing the country. Each tile would have 3 or 5 of that country's top news stories affecting the nation. You could even make personalized views where you can see 10 of your most commonly tracked countries and the top 8 news stories from each. You would have to aggregate news stories from the major sources from each country that would be considered the "top" story of the moment. Also, another page on the site would be a map with arrows/lines going from one country to another, binding them together based on world events. So for example, let's say a top story comes out that says North Korea launches a test missile that hits a South Korean ship, killing 20 people onboard, including an American. This map would show thick lines from America and South Korea all pointing to North Korea, to emphasize the severity of the story and what we should be paying attention to. Seems like every "World News" section on websites these days is so unorganized and with all these different things going on in the Middle East it can be hard to keep track of it. My idea would keep everything organized by country, so we can stay up to date on issues occurring not only at the national level, but also how countries are trending over time. This would all be done by essentially analyzing the news and taking advantage of trending news stories.
