One time in a bar, I got pretty drunk, and saw a weird looking vending machine I had no idea what it dispensed, but had a large label affixed stating that it cost a single dollar. Determined to see what it was, I fed it a dollar and discovered what a "pull tab" was. Won two dollars off it, and still felt like I lost, because it was a cool looking machine, and it didn't even do anything cool at all.

Bartender either assumed I was an idiot or trashed when I just walked up with it and asked what it even was.
