Echoes and Childhood's End are p good songs that nobody really listens to because they aren't part of the Dark Side through the Wall era Floyd.

Childhood's End is pretty dope. Obscured by Clouds is a pretty good album, depressing though. thanks for reminding me of it I haven't listened to it in like 9 years. Gonna get baked tonight and do that.

Not a coincidence that the best song on The Final Cut is Gilmour's Not Now John. but also all of the post-Rogers stuff is all fluffy pop with no substance. They really did need each other

I had a call center job that I really loving hated. The only good thing about it was that the drive to and from was almost exactly 23 minutes and 30 seconds so I could listen to Echoes each way, also it was near a reservoir that took just about 25 minutes to drive completely around so on lunch break I would drive once around the reservoir and smoke a couple bowls and listen to Echoes e: im pretty sure that song kept me sane

no "Fearless" yet? huh. i was actually talking about Pink Floyd with a coworker today and mentioned that Animals and Meddle are the only albums of theirs i still listen to. "Childhood's End" and the live versions of "Astronomy Domine" and "Careful with that Axe, Eugene" are awesome for sure, though, and, while i know the band pretty much disowned the song, i really like "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast," too. nothing past The Wall is any good.

Saucerful of Secrets was a drat good album. Corporal Clegg has kind of a proto-punk feel to it that I kind of like. But yeah, it was awesome in high school, but not so much a decade or so later. Because of that, early Floyd is the only stuff I care to listen to (when I listen to Floyd at all) because it got less radio play. It's actually a testament to Dark Side of the Moon's replayability that, when someone puts it on, I just shrug and think "okay, sure" instead of flying into a rage.
