It seems like not everybody like to watch anime, and thats a real shame Here is some anime you can enjoy without know much of anything about japan or its animation. Before Redline, this was the movie of choice to show to people who didn't know anything about anime. Like everything else, some anime is bound to be bad but some are great, like the show Psycho-Pass (which can best be described as an anime version of Minority Report)

Anime might be watchable if the creators didn't (for some reason) decide to remove every other frame of animation to destroy any semblance of natural motion. But they did.

Pretty good list OP. I'd also have to recommend Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex for the sci-fi action fans, as well as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
