drat I want that bottle. I don't care if the stuff inside tastes like nail polish, I can just refill dat bottle with some actual quality vodka once I empty it. Vodkachat: My favorites are Stolichnaya and Russian Standard, though round these parts both can get somewhat expensive (I think something like $25/liter for Russian Standard and $28/liter Stoli) so I save those for special occasions and go for bottom-shelf stuff when I feel like having some vodka. Which AFAIK means Svedka. Unless you guys know anything better.

Basically you have two sets of verbs: one that implies completion, another that implies habit. So for example: "I eat soup every Tuesday" is going to have a different verb (есть) from "Eat this soup" (which uses съесть) since one is the habit of eating while the other implies that the soup will be consumed in full, once. Sort of the difference between "do" and "get done" or something. It's a bit weird at first, but it clears up with practice and listening to native speakers. And you're taking German? That's not bad at all, it means you're already familiar with cases. In Russian, cases are extremely important but they're a lot simpler than the German version. Learning the German cases made me want to die, the Russian cases are pretty intuitive by comparison.
