I can't believe the Seahawks are probably going to miss the playoffs at 10-6, losing the tie breaker against Dallas. That's a bummer. But yeah, the division system is great still.

Bold prediction that may not actually be bold: while not as eccentric and fun to watch, Luck will be better than Manning when he really hits the stride of his prime.

So he'll be the greatest qb of all time. I'd say that counts as bold.

What's funny to me is, winning the NFC South seems like a BAD thing at this point. Just getting that playoff spot means dropping about 10 places in the draft with how lovely their records are.

Most fun I've ever had watching a Seahawks game:
1) Superbowl 48
2) 7-9 Beastquake
3) 2005 NFC Championship game

#2 is so far above and beyond worth the loss of 10 or so Draft spots it cost.

If the cardinals win this week and somebody wins cowboys @ eagles (no tie), they clinch a spot. :ohdear:

Game is in St Louis and the Rams are pretty substantially better than the Cards, though. :/

Yep yep no way a a 7 win team could beat a road defending superbowl champion who outclasses them in every way.

Seattle in 2010 was abysmal, and a much much worse team than this current Saints team is.

Saints were probably worse than this Seattle team though, so who knows.

We're going to get beaten to death in the playoffs anyway; I'd rather take a shot at Seattle than limp through and maybe have a close game against a horrible team that also will just get poo poo on the next week.

And for reference, the last time Seattle played in the dome was earlier in 2010 and they got loving curb stomped.

I had to go look it up and you're right. That 7-9 Seahawks team was actually much WORSE than their record. 30th in the league by DVOA at -22.9%. New Orleans was 10th at 9.2%. By contrast this year's Saints are a respectable 2.2% DVOA, a little bit above average, and Seattle is 25.4%. If Seattle visits the Saints this year, it won't be quite as big of a mismatch as it was in 2010.

Yeah I wouldn't just assume the Rams roll over and die. They have been the 2nd best team in the NFC West over the last 8 games and are playing pretty well. Plus they always give the Seahawks fits.
