Sometimes it gets too cold to breathe through their sensitive noses, so they use their furry tails to warm the air up as they breathe with their mouths. Supposedly. Heard that secondhand, so I have no idea and can't find any credible source backing it up.
Well I can testify that I do the same thing with my woolly scarf when it gets really cold, so this sounds like a feasible theory to me.
On the other hand none of those pictures look like it's cold at all, but maybe they still do it on instinct?
Or maybe they really are just doing it for giggles because hey, ploofy tail.

I once watched a squirrel mucking about in a tree, one of those birch trees that have these long dangling branches (like so). It tried to jump from one branch to another, but fell short and ended up grasping the end of one of those dangling branches with its front paws, swinging around like motherfucking Tarzan on a vine. I'm not sure if I've ever laughed so hard at an animal in my life.

Basically it's just like if you mashed together a golden retriever and a samoyed; it kinda looks like a cross between the two and is almost as big as them both combined. (Well not really but still pretty hefty)

To take a break from adorable animals (omg that corgi puppy gif :kimchi: ), here's a video where the popular ASMR-youtuber Heather Feather tells her life story while illustrating it on a whiteboard.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBKLswx1FW4

Even if you don't normally care about the whole ASMR thing at all, give this a shot, it's really a totally different kind of thing.
She just sounds like a genuinely sweet person, and tells her story in a very engaging way without over-dramatizing things. There are some sad parts, but overall I just found it really sweet and endearing. Didn't have any trouble following it all the way through eventhough it's over half an hour long. Definitely one of the more feelgood videos I've seen in a while.

EDIT: I recommend using headphones for this, it's recorded with a binaural mic and the clarity and the spatial effect makes it super pleasant to listen to.
