my parents bought me an issue of macaddict in the mid 90s when i was in the hospital after knee surgery. it had the original escape velocity demo on it, which was the best thing ever.

while it was booting up. when i got to a third loop of the 575 i had to think of something to add onto the end of it.

it took a longass time to boot up now that i think about it. half the goddamn games on it cried about needing a 'floating point coprocessor' too, so it must have been a piece of poo poo even for the time

yeah the 575 had the 60LC040 that didn't have the fpu, lmao. i had the older version of that computer, the lc520, and actually bought a 68882 for it, it had the empty socket on the motherboard for it. with the 040 you had to replace the whole cpu.

yeah I've been using an apple extended keyboard II with USB adapter in windows for a few months now.

the win key and alt keys are "swapped" - option is alt and cmd is win key. the = key in the keypad doesn't work. and the power key doesn't work. everything else is great.
