that and VLC isnt even distributed through the app store so its just the vanity of the artiste that made the icon who thinks its a sin to only show it for a few weeks

yeah i read up a bit about dynamically changing the icon for ios and it looks impossible since it's using a plist that's read only. i just opened vlc though and i didn't remember having it update, so it seems like an event that fires at a certain time anyway who cares
