Like Barnett was wrong and it's right to make fun of what he said, but people took it too far in the other direction.

I remember before the first Zuffa UFC in Japan, there was an article where some journalist hung out in tokyo with Ryo Chonan. He asked him what he thinks would happen if he fought Anderson now, and Chonan just laughed and said "He'd kill me."

In round two he stupidly tried to strike with Anderson where he had no edge at all and threw the spinning back fist heard around the octagon. The second one is more of showing no respect as opposed to showing fear, as Chael striking with Anderson is just a terrible idea and rather than institute his gameplan he died. In round 1 Chael took Anderson down instantly, and then while he slowly advanced position and ended up in mount, Silva tied him up and he never landed any good shots. In round 2 he did not decide to strike with Anderson, he tried very hard to get him down but could not, and whenever they disengaged from the clinch Anderson popped him hard. 1st AD posted:Chael lost his gas tank when he started roiding with reckless abandon, especially against Bisping and Anderson. I don't think he wanted to strike with Anderson, he just couldn't take him down at all in the second round. I've said this before, but if Chael gassed against Bisping, coming on strong and dominating the last round is a really weird way of showing it.
