Grey Goo is a new real-time strategy game made by Petroglyph Games going back to the basics of the genre: base building, resource harvesting, unit spamming. No worrying about fancy abilities, complicated tech trees, area control and APM, just command your units to point and shoot. It plays very traditionally, like a mix of Command & Conquer and Starcraft, even though it has a modern presentation and unique gameplay features. Could use some more polish (there's the occasional weird bug and framerate drop) but it's great fun if you wanted something different from the more competitive Blizzard games. Petroglyph Studios is a studio made of former Westwood Studios devs (the guys behind C&C and Dune) that decided to leave EA for greener pastures. They've had their ups, such as the Star Wars Empire at War and Universe at War RTS, and their downs, such as the Rise of Immortals and End of Nations F2P MOBAs (ugh). Grey Goo is definitely one of their ups. Features - 3 asymmetrical factions to choose from: The Beta, The Humans and The Goo, with over 30 units with silly voices. - Single-player campaign with pre-rendered cutscenes (no FMV sadly) and 5 missions for each faction. - Music by Frank Klepacki! - Multiplayer with player and AI opponents in skirmish, LAN (wow!) and Online Steam. - Map editor with Steam Workshop support. - Leaderboards, achievements, cards, etc etc. Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfLHPtpT1Z4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk41rdu22pM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFPtchtkWNU Where to get it Steam Humble Store Amazon $49.99 / €45.99
