The song is sung from the perspective of a fat self hating 9-5 er who can't stand the fact that rock stars get money for nothing, and chicks for free. In other words its OK for this guy to say things like fag because he is the bad guy, and the butt of the joke.

all those words you posted and the other two dorks too, i know that. it's still stupid and unnecessary, the whole perspective thing of the song lyrics can be easily ignored and suddenly you're just left with mark knopfler screaming about faggots and it's not very cool.
