I do all my reading in Courier New, it's more pleasant on the eyes. The ligatures especially look lovely in that font.

this lovely roboto from those masters of design at google is indeed an appropriately awful typeface for this website, however, ligatures on good types look wonderful and hugely improve reading speed and enjoyment
