He did get it back together and get to #1 again after this. But it's the injuries that are doing him in. Part of this is he has basically been playing competitive golf since he was 13 or something like that. His body has a LOT of miles on it.

Good move on Tiger's part. He's young enough that a year or even two is not his end. And it's more important he get his health back than compete in the Waste Management open at this point. If I was Tiger - and I'm not, though I did drive by his house last week - a couple more majors is my one and only goal, so why not get healthy and go for that?
