How do I get Parallel Quest 6?

cams
Mar 28, 2003

haha okay the amount of grinding required to get certain things, especially mission rewards, is silly. ran mission 5 like 10 times so far to get "giant storm", no luck. in fact, only gotten nappa to spawn once despite completing the mission in under 5 minutes every time.

So, there are all those Z-Attribute things from mentors that say they increase damage of "skill powers associated with (whoever)". Is there any way at all to know which skills are associated with which people?

yeah but there are also ones for characters who can't mentor you. for instance, i got ones for jeice and berter that give bonus damage to their powers and skills but i'll be god damned if i know what those are

so, if i were to delete my level 32 dude i've been playing all day, what all would i lose? as i understand it, the ONLY thing tied to each individual character is their level and how you've specced them, but i may be completely wrong.

For people worrying about data becoming desynched or whatever from playing in offline mode (to avoid getting disconnected every 10 minutes), you're fine. The stuff you do in offline mode will remain when you reconnect online.

Anyone got tips for Z-Ranking PQ08?

cams
Mar 28, 2003

Has anyone compiled a list of all the post-fight bonuses to get higher ranks on quests? Managed to beat PQ08 by doing it alone (points), getting a 20 hit combo (points), 3 throws (points), 3 guard breaks (points), defeating 10 enemies (points), and finishing with at least 80% health (points).

Would make things a lot easier if I knew all the various ways to get points.

Trying to Z-Rank PQ09 is going to be hell. Goku only revives about 1/3 of the time if you hit the bonus objective and it is entirely likely that he kills the AI Vegeta because he has unlimited evasion bursts and will use them over and over (literally, I saw him chain them 3 in a row without moving otherwise).

All this combined with the fact that there are barely enough points to earn to get Z, gonna be loving hell.

New record: Within a 40 seconds period, Goku used his burst 12 times. Vegeta died. This is stupid.

I asked about evaluation criteria in here and got no reply, so I hate you all and I hope you all choke.

In the meantime, I started a list myself that I hope will be helpful to anyone trying to Z-Rank everything like I am. Though, I have to say, the fact that your mentor's mission ranks are saved and are unrepeatable is going to bug the poo poo out of me. I got bad grades with a lot of my mentors :(

Defeated X enemies (3, 5, 10)
Defeated the last enemy
Defeated last enemy while transformed
Defeated a strong enemy
Hit with X Ki Blasts (20)
Performed X throws (3)
Remaining Health greater than X (80%)
Ally characters' Health greater than X (80%)
Fought by yourself
Cleared within X min. (3)
Did a of X hits or more (20)
Never KO'd (requires team)
Caused the most damage (requires team)
Defeated the most enemies (requires team)
Hit from behind X times (10)
Defeated enemy stronger than you
Attack accuracy X or greater (80%)
Hit with Ultimate Attacks X times (5)
Defeated last enemy with Ultimate Attack
Defeated 3 enemies with Ultimate Attacks

Obviously there are way more, I'm sure, these are just the ones I've seen and recorded.

90% of the time, when I hit the "vanish" button, I vanish in place rather than vanishing and reappearing behind them. The tutorial makes no mention of holding a direction or anything else to manipulate this, only says "vanish to go behind them".

Kind of a shame that the game kind of devolves into spamming ki supers towards the "endgame" since every boss just blocks poo poo they should absolutely not be able to block while you have a huge delay for your own blocks. Going toe to toe making strike specials and doing normal combos feel like a waste of time. Maybe I need to get kaioken x20 since I'm a filthy Namek? Every win condition in PQs are tied to speed and since only ki specials put a dent in the energy of enemies, I find that it's the only thing allowing me to be fast enough. Am I wrong in this?

It's garbage and makes me think the only thing viable is SSJ2 ki special spam. I don't care though, I'll try to play my way and look as badass as possible while doing so.
The AI in this game absolutely does not have the restrictions of a player. All AI can block forever without running out of stamina, they can spam evasion ultras forever, they can spam REGULAR ultras forever (once you beat the game and try and do Kid Trunks' PQ this will be extra hilarious). The AI in this game is absolutely unfair so yeah.

Really though if it wasn't this game would be comically easy, just dash into XXXXX-teleport combo, fire Ki Ultra when they're on the ground so it hits them when they wake up, gg.

Anyone found really good skills for doing a pure basic melee build? Super Drain (the only stamina drain I have right now), Fighting Pose E (atk boost), and Final Pose (evasion with atk boost) are all I really have right now that help the build.

It really bums me out that Super Saiyan isn't really useful for this build since male Saiyans get a bonus to basic atk damage.

Also, how does Dancing Parapara work? It seems like people were saying it does a stun if you time it right but I have not been able to do that.

Even if I could find the others I'm still confused on how you're supposed to deliver 7 when delivering 3 ends the scenario and you can only carry 2 at a time.
the extra part of that pq is triggered by killing goldo before gathering all the dragon balls. all of the extra parts of pq's only have a chance of triggering, they won't always happen. keep doing it. forever.

The more I play the more I think specializing in strike supers is objectively inferior to ki supers. The only real advantage I see in strikes over ki is that there are some neat utility options in strike, like the stamina stealing one, the guard break one, and... That is all that comes to mind.
