I know this goes without saying but like half the history building will be ancient prophesies and perfect fortune tellings that always come true.

We really need to emphasize that this world was only created to tell the tale of this one special snowflake so literally all of its backstory will relate to this one person somehow.

yes it is super important that the hero be reluctant and cowardly instead of courageous and bold so we can say there was character development once the hero stops being a chore to listen to

In an alternate universe where the United States were founded in Africa instead of America, Native African culture is slowly dying on scattered reservations and Americans were slaves for generations before being emancipated during the Civil War. The white author is praised by white critics for this fresh take on race politics.

The United States of Africa

In a literary reversal as deadly serious as it is wickedly satiric, this novel by the acclaimed French-speaking African writer Abdourahman A. Waberi turns the fortunes of the world upside down. On this reimagined globe a stream of sorry humanity flows from the West, from the slums of America and the squalor of Europe, to escape poverty and desperation in the prosperous United States of Africa. It is in this world that an African doctor on a humanitarian mission to France adopts a child. Now a young artist, this girl, Malaïka, travels to the troubled land of her birth in hope of finding her mother—and perhaps something of her lost self. Her search, at times funny and strange, is also deeply poignant, reminding us at every moment of the turns of fate we call truth.

The traps that protect the ancient treasure could only work one time as they destroy parts of the structure, and yet somehow they're all in working condition even though the ruins are littered with the corpses of previous raiders.

The world rests on seven pillars, each representing a cardinal virtue.
BUT: get this!
The "pillars" aren't literal pillars, but PEOPLE who embody those virtues. They reincarnate every generation with no memory of their pasts lives and must find each other to perform a sacred ritual to keep the world going for another century or so.
Only this time around, someone is trying to stop them...

The gods are alive and well, magic is plentiful and there are no gigantic ancient ruins, just a bunch of gigantic, in-tact buildings and newly created doomsday artifacts whose containment systems aren't due to fail for another twenty thousand years.
Also intend to explore the thought processes behind creating a doomsday artifact in the first place.

The alligator people were once a proud and noble race, but a few hundred years ago the elves started expanding their territory, and now the greenskins all live on swamp reservations, getting drunk off mouthwash and make money by selling fake jerk-off crystals to tourists.

A desert planet with no water? Where would the whales live? They'd have to be some kind of... freaky sand whale.

There used to be a race of peaceful steampunk anime furries who once sailed the skies on their JO crystal powered airships, but 50 years ago all the other races banded together to exterminate them for being lovely.
