it's only ok if the beast is named after a person who logically should have animals named after them, like my sister has a stupid dog named eva braun and a really mean cat named adolf hitler. that makes sense. but something like "frank" or "rudy giuliani" or "jeff" isn't a very cool name for any animal of any species

brotato is a good pet name. there are a lot of bro words (i call them portmantbreaus) that are good for pets - brosef mengele, human papibroma virus, lindsay brohan, brophylactic, etc.

I think if acaring girl had a cat she might just shorten it to "pippy," though. pupple i think another good name for a cat would be "Purple." another a good name for a cat is "wikipe-tama" [tama is a common name for a cat in japan - lyle] "Caboodle" and "Chutney" sittin in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g... all good animals deserve their own last name free from the entanglements of their owner's undoubtedly terrible familial legacy. even loughren the lizard gets to be loughren the lizard dickinson or loughren leopold lucifer the lizard lexington or something and all your posts to the contrary make me very uneasy, its as though you don't even like animals or something

and come on, no one who really cares about animals would name a cat 'kitty scruffington' or whatever, 'kitty' is never an acceptable pet name unless its an ironic pet name, like a hissing cockroach named kitty scruffington, and even then it's extremely questionable
