The Portuguese league allows third party ownership deals (from what I understand), which allows clubs like Porto to get good Latin American talent. That forces the price of star players like Hulk really high because everyone wants a good return on investment. I've never seen Mangala play at Porto, so I have no idea how he managed to get a price as high as Hulk's.

East meant that it was his intention to send off Brown because he believed Brown also committed a foul after O'Shea did. He didn't get the two mixed up and send the wrong one off. If he had sent the wrong one off because he mixed them up, O'Shea would probably be getting the suspension tacked on like what happened with Gibbs/AOC last year (before it ultimately got rescinded entirely).
