Has a few good scenes, doesn't quite redeem the whole movie though. Mostly Chevy Chase, bill Murray, Rodney dangerfield scenes are good.

a lot of the "classic" comedy movies like caddyshack or naked gun or even airplane are pretty overrated. national lampoon movies were even worse. space balls also has not aged all that well. imo blazing saddles remains good tho yes, this is me, making GBS threads on a popular thing

the meatballs directors cut has a nine minute long anal rape at the end of that weird scene where bill murray is getting really aggressive with the lady who wasn't having him. it's like that part in irreversible, except the meatballs theme song loops over it.
