The best movie soundtrack of all time is Godzilla (the Matthew Broderick one), it's just a bunch of popular songs with monster roars inserted into them. One of my friends used to play it in his car all the time and it was always funny.

I think another story I heard about both these movies is that each had music videos produced for songs on their soundtrack that never got promoted or released at the time because the films didn't do well enough in theaters and no one wanted to invest the money into do new videos or putting in new footage. Along a similar note: Smashmouth and Mystery Men, there was an "All-Star" video that featured connections and clips from the movie but very quickly after the movie failed to perform the version of the song/video where all of that was removed was quickly put into rotation, too. I seem to recall something about Batman And Robin/Jewel's "Foolish Games" also bypassed releasing a music video tie-in for the film and just released a video without any Batman references at all. I also seem to recall Beck's Deadweight single failed to get a lot of popularity as its video featured a lot of footage for the similarly unpopular A Life Less Ordinary.
