Undoubtedly most GBS posters have been addicted to something, and most still probably are.

Ten years ago I was in an icu for a month on a morphine drip, little button I could press would dose me up but then I'd have to wait five minutes before I could press it again. The day the morphine doc came in and said I'd be taken off early I feebly swore at him and threatened to attack him if he took my morphine away. Several days later it was Christmas and I was writhing in my bed going through withdrawls. It was terrible but thankfully I was too sick/weak to do anything about it and in a controlled environment I was weened off of it.

How hosed up are you and what addictions have you kicked or are trying to kick? To what depths have you fallen to feed your addictions? Pictures if you have them please.

being addicted to video games/the internet is worse than cigarette addiction in my educated opinion

It is debatable but video games and Internet addiction disconnects you from real life and the older generations whose knowledge will die with them

Marrow is ok, it's the things the chemo and full body radiation did that will contribute to my impending death

But let's talk about our addictions friends

It is cooler to be addicted to cigarettes.

This is true, you meet lots of people too and enhance your drinking experience. Also nice smoking under the stars

Cigarette on the back porch at night with headphones on listening to tunes can be very fulfilling

How do you ruin your life with weed?

Just killing any motivation to thrive maybe? Seems like there are far worse things to overuse.

i smoked about 5 packs one night in the dunes of a desert looking up at the biggest sky ive ever seen. it was the poo poo. no other drug would have done it.

I think the most I ever smoked was maybe three packs in a night back when I was young dumb and tripping a lot. Lay on the ground on the top of a hill by an observatory with good friends while on mushrooms and watched the sky dance. Tripping epiphanies are incredible.

That's my dad's story. He smoked in the army and quit the day he left. I do not comprehend how that is possible.

He left me on a few more days but yes it was lucky it was in a controlled environment because if I'd been an addict outside of a hospital I'm not sure I'd have ever stopped it.

Suboxone and methadone are the real miserable withdrawals, nowhere near any of the other opiates.

Morphine withdrawal is absolutely nothing compared to benzos, alcohol SSRI/N, and psych meds

can't really compare to those as I don't know, except for alcohol and cigarettes, but the feeling of withdrawals was worse than the cancer or the procedures so for me it was the worst. Please share your experiences with benzos, alcohol SSRI/N and psych meds if you feel comfortable enough to do so.
