I think what is utterly amazing to me is how utterly hosed up our culture is compared to others. It creates and molds monsters like this due to popular media that promotes concepts that mark sexual activity as somehow being a requirement to being a proper complete human being. It's incredible in its sexism as well, that to feel right or a full man it is expecter of boys that they treat women as disposable objects and don't display emotion. Another facet of our consumer capitalist throw-away culture is that the value of someone is measured by what they look like Movies like Dazed and Confused, Grease, and American Graffiti depict perfectly the issues with our culture and mass media. They are so perfect in their depection that they become perpretrators and spread it. It is then no surprise that the baby boomers are the generation with the highest rates of divorce, abortion, and rape. It is no surprise that they are the group that invented the oversexualization of mass media using young artistd as their pawns in order to simply make money off the back of younger generations without a single concern for the cultural falllout. It is hard if not impossible for a young person growing up today to turn off these messages. They shape them and create long lasting concepts of personal value and cultural requirements. It's a serious issue and one of the main reasons this nation is so hosed up.

.lnk to the past posted:if the usa legalized hookers none of this would have happened Yeah sure it would because further comodozation of sex would totally fix the issues that caused this rampage, primarily that of our country being overly obsessed with sex as a commodity to be used for societal and cultural advancement and to show worth.
