When you drink spirits/liquor etcetera, do you drink it out of the bottle or do you put it in a glass first?

I put it in a glass but I drink it straight up because that pain is freeing. I don't drink spirits, or beer, very often at all; though.

When I was drinking really heavily I would just buy a pint of r and r or whatever and drink from that. I would always pour my beer into a glass though. In not a barbarian.

spirits refer to distilled goods and these in particular: whisky, rum, vodka, gin, brandy and tequila. its not weird to say spirits if youre referring to liquor as a whole entity
