Mom and I text a lot, now that she's discovered the wonder that is Smartphones. I sent Dad a Father's day card, and mom read it to him and explained who it was from. He's got Alzheimer's, so doesn't remember me any more.

I got my dad gift he really liked for father's day, a safety razor with a soap cup and boar-bristle brush. He doesn't really like talking to people on the phone, especially me, since it makes him uncomfortable, but, he felt compelled to call me and thank me for the great gift. I think he resented me for forcing him to do that, lol.

I visited my mum earlier today to console her about her recent breakup. So she's available if anyone is interested, but she has expensive tastes so you better be loaded. My dad isn't much of a talker but I show him I care by crashing at his place occasionally and using his internet. He's also available if anyone is interested.

I emailed my mom yesterday. She's got MSA so talking on the phone is hard. Luckily texting/emailing is easier for her and for me to understand her. I'm say hi to my dad's ashes every time I pass the fireplace mantle in my house.

Mom died last month  . I said goodbye and told her over the phone how great of a mother she was the day before she passed, but she couldn't speak anymore at that point. Hug your moms, goons (unless they're bad people)
