Good horror movies have jump scares and bad horror movies have jump scares. If you don't like them that's fine, but it's one of the most standard opinions to have. How often do you actually see 'I was thinking about it, and jump scares are good' posts or articles? I think saying jump scares are inherently bad is like saying slapstick comedy is inherently bad. It depends. If a movie is boring and throws in a few jump scares to getcha then it's still a bad movie, and if a good movie has a few, that doesn't make it a bad movie.
