So, OP, I get that you're concerned with human rights violations against your own people, but isn't it time for a truce? No matter if you believe or understand it, both sides are responsible for atrocities - and, I'll be the first to admit it, Ukraines volunteer groups are responsible for a lot of them - and if you entered this conflict to prevent repression of people, it clearly hasn't had the intended effect.

Do you honestly not think your people would be better off with moving behind the front and living with their own, and the Ukrainian speakers could then do the same?

Not as such, but step back and take in the larger perspective: you've had it your way, and it's lead to a whole lot of dead kids. If your commanders want to prove that this is not just a petty influence grab on Putin's behalf, why not let the UN establish an occupation and make an attempt at a diplomatic settlement?

Is there a European nation that doesn't have problems with rampant racism presented through football pageantry?

Er, yes. At least many European countries don't have certified neo-nazi hooligan firms, nor do they hold tournaments where hooligan crews compete for trophies and poo poo. Russian and Poland are a whole other league compared to most European football violence issues.
