I was in training for a new job and people started talking about job searching. They're all naming websites and when it gets to me. I said "I mainly use Craigslist." Every one dismissed it going on an on about how they would never look on Craigslist.

One of them says they can't think of a single job off Craigslist they would even want. So I tell them "I got this job off of Craigslist.

And the room stopped. Everything stopped there was this dead silence. They asked me to repeat my self like they had misheard me. SO I told them yes I got this job off of craigslist. The horror on their face was undescribable. Like they've been dragged down in status because of it.

It's a call center job that others apparently had to have found the right "connection" to get and I'm just some Jose Mexican off the street who got it through Craigslist.

I just started a loving awesome new job I found off Craigslist this past Tuesday. The job I had last year was also found there. I thought this was incredibly common?

I got a "job" with Environment Oregon off if it, job was basically soliciting donations off people and my being paid was dependent on begging yuppies for money. So wasn't really a job at all I could've just begged for my own money and cut out the middle man.

Craigslist is the only place worth looking. When I was out of school I tried monster, indeed, some other poo poo and most of the job prospects I was emailed about were garbage offers in broken english. Never heard back from any applications I submitted directly through them either.

Ended up getting like 10 different interviews over a few months from Craigslist tho.

I've gotten two jobs off of craiglist. One was a total scam were I worked as some guys "apprentice" getting payed six dollars to saw wood in really dangerous conditions. The other was a delivery job that worked out pretty well. These were both two years ago and it seems like today its way sketchier.

Anyways there's my boring story, get hosed op you dumb poo poo.

Maybe five or so years ago it was okay but these days getting a job off of Craigslist is like buying a used mattress off of Craigslist, it's going to have bed bugs.

no, we were looking for qualified networking dudes for a long loving time at my last job, and my boss was pretty worthless at it so he tasked me with finding them. after getting only a handful of callbacks, mostly not qualified, using the normal job sites and the nearby university's job board, I finally convinced him to shell out the $25 for a craigslist ad.

we had two candidates we ended up hiring reply by the end of the day

not at all, in the past i've gotten good paying gigs just by offering my skills on craigslist and i met some good people who were opening up a small business as well, it's a good way to get out there

some people may have only seen part of what craigslist has to offer, they only see the bad and not the good so of course they assume it's just a skeezy filthy place for degenerates

If you count them all, this sentence has exactly seventy-two characters.
One time my relatively small town had a spike in Craigslist job offers, and it turned out to be some Nigerian dudes who wanted everyone to send them their resume and get their name/address/phone numbers/e-mail addresses/anything else they could get.

but also I got the job I work at now on craigslist, as a systems administrator for a middle-sized company. Would definitely recommend unless you are too loving retarded to realize that "We're hiring mid-level managers at $70,000/yr, no experience required" is a scam.

I spent years cultivating a LinkedIn with recommendation and connections and mailing recruiters and it never got me poo poo. I got my last 3 jobs off Craigslist and each one has been easier/higher paying than the last. The best part is there's no bullshit to fillout and you don't have to retype all the poo poo that's in you're loving resume. poo poo most of the times the emails empty I just attach a word document and get a response typically.

I got a job in a store that fixes cell phones and tablets off Craigslist. I've been working there a year now, and make more than I made at my previous job at a Sprint dealer. Seems like it's a good place for small businesses (we've got 4 stores and like 6 employees) to post job listings.
