not quite, the point of freeway is to have complete physical separation from oncoming traffic, there are only a few places in NZ that has them and they are way safer than the road you mentioned with no barrier in between

in fact most of the 'roads' in nz are the narrow, dangerous as gently caress ones with no median barrier and there are so many head on collision to the point that government had to come out a bunch of ads to plead to people to drive more carefully

in fact plowing through a group of children is likely a decent way to absorb a decent amount of the momentum of the vehicle gradually

from many deaths saves a single rich life

go to Nav Menu -> Settings -> Autopilot -> Heuristics

In Collision Avoidance Object Priority
set Driver Metric to 255
set Passenger Metric to 254
set Ped Metric to 1 (do not set it to 0!)
set Traffic Metric to 10

and restart your car

that's stupid, if you swerve in that situation you'll probably stop braking as effectively, skid out of control and take out all eleven people

has the research into self-driving cars gotten into how the cars will park themselves?

like, once the magic car gets you to where you're going does it just kick out of auto-drive and then you still have to park yourself, or does it start circling the lot until it finds what it thinks is an empty spot and then crushes a motorcycle?

Thanks Ants

if they were ubiquitous enough i imagine parking lots and garages would "support them" in some way. it would just boot you out and go to the nearest registered open spot or something
