I was pretty obsessed with the BG platform for a while. My first car was a 91 escort GT that suddenly became upside down  Then a 92 protege lx that I did the ZX2 SR suspension stuff to  Later I found a nice teal escort Gt that wasn't flipped over  Then I got a $300 323 for a few weeks before joining the army, ended up being the most fun to autocross with the tires @45 psi in the rear.  Kind of that weird attachment to a first car thing I guess. I thought they were the best of the time (until I owned a 91 Civic Si). I'm still a little charmed when I see one on the road.
