"The build team" was always in the background doing the grunt work in the earlier seasons and occasionally they'd appear on camera for a few seconds. Then the producers started to single a few of them out as being particularly likable and photogenic and they became regulars in the actual show.

The build team was the worst part of the show, they had them come on and it was like the junior league. Adam and jamie made the show, its ying and yang. After the show I doubt either will be doing anything close alone to the fame of mythbusters.

I looked up Kari for this thread b/c I recalled reading she went to Dartmouth of all places, but it turns out she went to some school in San Fransisco. She did graduate magna cum laude (go nuts) though. Anyway even a small google search says she's been married since 2006. That's got to be an odd role as a husband to have a wife who is alternatively celebrated for being a pop science icon and sadbrain masturbation fodder, often in the same breath.
