If by rump party you mean national party which controls 70% of state legislatures, Senate, House, Supreme Court and is one president away from complete control of the federal government.

Any fights or differences are purely based on tactics and not ideology. The GOP have been very effective at passing legislation nationwide in the states they control.

The GOP's influence and power over America as a whole has only grown over time since 1994 until now (and likely until 2020 at minimum). 06-10 is the only blip in that timeline.

Assuming we see a GOP President, would the Tea Party and business/establishment factions quickly fall in line and start passing all sorts of bad legislation, or would there still be disagreements and in-fighting internal to the Republicans, similar to what we saw with Cantor v Obama's Grand Bargain and this whole Speaker debacle, that would otherwise prevent the country from being turned into a reactionary hellscape by Christmas 2017?

The GOP have been very unified throughout recent history with very few exceptions. Even the Cantor gently caress up in 2011 was a disagreement on tactics. The tea party extremists and moderate GOP want the same laws passed but disagree on tactics. Look at what happens in the most state governments where the GOP control all 3 branches- stuff breezes through without interruption.

I bet they would remove the filibuster for legislation almost instantly and would ram through the entire party platform before 2018.

You have a keen eye.

Indiana sold the I-80 Turnpike, and used that money to build up 465 and the rest of Indianapolis. Then everything outside of 465 went to poo poo. Regular I 65 had a bride collapse that hosed up travel from Indy to Chicago but nobody cares.

Presumably this came from an actual breach into an actual Klan database (notice how it's all regional and mostly the same....tribe or whatever). If there's going to be further confirmation it's going to come in that form, probably sent to a reporter or investigator or something.

Or, it's just a bunch of names pasted into a text file. Impossible to know at this point

The Klan has been an outdated, nationally-laughed-at organization since the '70's. Its national image is that of inbred rednecks and sub-human goobers, and the last time a state-level candidate was revealed to be part of the organization, he got trounced in what should have been an easy election.

Any document claiming that five sitting U.S. Senators are current members of an organization that provides no power and could be a massive scandal and is devoted to what 98% of this country considers unabashed evil needs a shitload more evidence before anyone even comes close to taking it seriously.

The fact that the GOP is willing to A) reject the expansion which should be a no-brainer to accept, B) make it political football and C) still have the gall to demand the free money to use for other purposes is quite wrong in my opinion.

It's a bit more sad that the majority of TN voters will probably blame Obama for it too and therefore vote even more GOP in.

I did enjoy our governor who instigated it when it happened crying his eyes out for the last year because he can't get the legislature to agree to accept the money now.
