In every age, cultures associated with facial hair are bad, and cultures associated with hairlessness are great. Facial hair is an animal mask that erases persona and leaves men with no distinguishing feature other than raw ability to project power in their immediate vicinity. (The same applies for body hair with women but in a less interesting way)

You can have a beard, personally, so long as your culture doesn't become a beardy mustachy embarassment. Good ways to look: Bad ways to look:

Nutsngum posted:Does this officially conclude GBS topics on hating everything that possibly exists? Why does that seem to bother and surprise you? Look, on any subject there are a thousand ways to be wrong and very few ways to be right. It is obvious that most things will, therefore, be wrong and bad. Body hair in general is a prime example.

vudan posted:" ability to project power in their immediate vicinity" - It doesn't mean you have that power. You probably don't. It means that it is the only thing distinguishing you. lern2read

This is about societies as a whole being bad where men are of the the seething, try-hard beardy version of masculinity. I actually had a beard last week. YES: NO:

Also: The bigger the hat, the worse the religion. Post religious hat people who are terrible - they probably also have beards! (Sikhs are the exception)

Fat girls don't like it when men shave because it makes them feel oafish and lumpy.

GORDON posted:Tell us more about why girls do things. OK, well, they are simultaneously aroused and humiliated by their attraction to men; conversely, they are elevated but also enervated by their desire for women. Being female is an unsolvable predicament, so women are pretty conflicted and opaque to themselves.
