If you think about it in Pokemon humans capture sentient living creatures with a sense of self awareness and cram them into tiny devices for undeterminable periods of time and then only let them out when they are about to force them to fight each other until one of them literally is knocked out.

Pretty loving cruel dystopian future if you ask me.
