The question here is whether the "existential dread and stressed out worry" (aka anxiety) is a result of weed tolerance/aftereffects, or the result of your brain not being properly equipped to deal with modern society

It's hard to tell without help from mental health professionals (or spending at least a couple weeks weed-free)

This is the case with a lot of mind-altering substances though (prescription or no) - I was on SSRIs for a while and if I didn't get the timing right or I missed a day i felt like complete and utter shite.

I'm like 3 days without and I'm doing okay. Went to the gym yesterday, took me a while to finally manage to go after putting my workout clothes on but I felt a lot better afterwards. Its been like 5 years since I took a break longer than 2 weeks. I dont even want to imagine all the money I threw away on it, and time wasted being unproductive as hell.

Weed is cool and good for a lot of reasons and a lot of people but for me it turns me into a lazy slug with a bottomless stomach. It fuzzes up my brain and I stop worrying about how Im a fatty who hasn't had a date in 6 years and I just play video games and eat food and remain antisocial. Its something that would be cool a few weekends a year, but for my personality I cant really function with it every day.

You can do it man. Don't know what your situation is but if you really want to quit I hope you stick to it.

The fuzziness is part of why I've been smoking weed for drat near 20 years - my brain is way too active otherwise. It also helps with Tourette's, so that's a bonus for me.

Even with toking around once a day, I only have to buy it every few months, since I use very little (and use a small battery powered vape).

Pictures are from when he was a young, strapping, full of energy, wiggle butt handsome young man because that's how I want to remember him...

First time in 24 years I've not had a pooch in the house, and man, it feels weird. Explaining the concept and what happened to my 9 year old son, who up to now had not experienced any sort of loss like this was tough. Coming home yesterday and not hearing the click of the claws on the tile, the snort and sneezes and woowooo sounds he made when we came home. Then going outside for an afternoon ball and frisbee toss...Really, really sucked.

Rough day yesterday, last night, and even this morning. Caught ourselves looking at his dog beds, or about to call him to go outside for his morning poop, or put fresh food and water in his bowls before we left for the day. Then a hug and a smooch before we walked out.

The house is just so quiet without him there. I've always had a dog, and always had a boxer. We had a few mutts mixed in that just kind of showed up and never left, but a boxer or two has been a mainstay in the Tide households since before I was born. We never have looked as dogs as "pets", more as family and companions.

Sorry for the downer post but give your dogges all the hugs and pets every day all day.

This one is just a hose no caps, are you thinking of a pressure bleeder type? Those can be a pain. My only complaint about my vacuum oil/bleeder is if you put too much of a vacuum the sides cave in...my brother isn't allowed to use this anymore.

This and other mods make me wish I had a decently-beefy PC to play the Windows version, rather than the XBONE I have.

Last night, I spent like 3 hours not advancing the story in GTA V. I hopped in a Chevy Volt clone (which is weird driving - no engine noise, so just the crunch of the tires on whatever surface, and a little whining) and drove it down the train tracks (I wanted to see where they went, and there was a cool tunnel where the train dipped below street level, in the middle of the street) all the way out into the desert, where I found a hippie community and, er, borrowed a VW bus, then found an open pit mine with a giant dump truck in the bottom, so I drove that out an on to the highway. I accidentally ran over a truck at a stop sign, which pissed the cops off, but they couldn't really do anything because giant dump truck. They kept trying to block and PIT me, and I kept just running over their cars, until I managed to find myself on a pile of 4 burning cop cars, which caught my left side tires on fire. The front one blew, then the rear one went, which somehow killed me. Revived at a podunk medical center, I stole a work pickup until I found a Baja Beetle, which I then spent the next hour bouncing around the mountains. When I finally got back to a town, I switched to a sweet '70s station wagon, and headed back to Los Santos, where I finally hooked up with the other player character and made a little progress in the story.

It's so relaxing to just go wander around the gamespace. There was even a nice rain storm while I was out in the desert.

On a related note, I was reading recently that researchers have confirmed that apparently dogs love us back. They like us even more than they like other dogs, even. They were able to get dogs to stay still in a CT scanner and their brains just light up when they smell friendly humans. I mean, we kind of knew that from a gut instinct level, but it's cool to have it confirmed by SCIENCE! :science:

This is how my brain works: I worry and stress constantly about all sorts of poo poo because it seems to need to be thinking about something and if I've got nothing to think about, it cherrypicks poo poo to stress over. I'm quitting out of principle - I would constantly debate with myself whether weed was affecting me in terms of my job/life/career at all or whether I'd be in the same boat without it (or even worse off), and whether I'm 'addicted' or not. So I decided to quit to see if I can, and to see if my life is measurably different in any way without it. Right now I'm still not sure if I feel like poo poo because of no weed or because that's just how I am; I know I used to feel like this quite a lot before I started smoking but I put it down to my life circumstances being garbage (less garbage now).

My dog is 11 and acts like she is still a puppy when we go for walks/hikes (a puppy that wants to murder anything that is less than 15 pounds). Her favorite place is when I take my wife to work. Lots of open desert next to the building so there is usually cottontails to mercilessly hunt down and then lose due to her leash just not being long enough.

Is there a way to lock this type of Uhaul hitch, or do they want you to spend $50 for a proprietary deal? Friend is moving cross-country and asked me - his plan is to swap the S-hooks for padlocks in a better-than-nothing effort.

That's what I do. The trailer I use (a friend's) has the lever-type ball latch with a hole for a lock, so there's one there. Then you need the locking pin in the ball mount. Would have been nice if Haul had used that time of hitch - with that quick-link that kastein pointed out, locking the chain is more a keep honest people honest thing.

You can't secure it that way anyway. They can be pulled apart with the quick link on the left too. He can get a tongue lock which goes under your drawbar and over the tongue of the trailer though. If someone wants to get that off, they'll need HUGE bolt cutters or a whizz wheel.

I'm not seeing any way to use that while the trailer is connected to the vehicle, though, so you'd have to unhitch any time you left it. That does have the locks for the tongue latch I mentioned, and the locking ball mount pin.

Also, you shouldn't be revealing your salary history to recruiters or potential employers. They're only doing this so they can lowball you.

Whatever you want to call it, its still bullshit and shouldn't be a thing
