Marx didn't want to fix capitalism, he wanted it to collapse. He's not suggesting ways to keep it going. There are ways to mitigate the problems with it and we've been using them. All of the "Oh, no, Socialist!!!!!" ideas we stuck in to keep it going aren't Marx, they're the reason Marx was wrong.
