 Momokuri is a comedy show about a newly formed couple. There was a web-only anime short series originally, but now they're making a version for TV with two 10 minute shorts making one episode. It airs on Crunchyroll on Fridays! The Characters:  Kurihara Yuki is the Kuri of Momokuri. Kuri, a second year, fell in love with Momo at first sight, but is too shy to talk to him! Instead, she ends up stalking him, taking hidden camera photos for her "Momo-kun Photo Collection". After she reachs her goal of taking a hundred hidden camera pictures of him, she decides to confess that she likes him, and they start going out. Even after her confession, she continues to stalk him, cause the thirst is real.  Momotsuki Shinya is the Momo of Momokuri. He's a first year, and is often described as cute, even by boys. He is unaware of Kuri's stalking. He has a very straightforward personality and is easily embarassed. After they start going out, he tries his best to make Kuri happy. The Rest  Mizuyama Norika is Kuri's friend. She often points out the stalkerish habits of Kuri.   Shizuka Shouta and Sawaguchi Rihito are Momo's friends. They like to mess around with Momo.  Sakaki Rio is in the same class as Momo. She wants to protect Momo's smile.   Usami Ikue and Shimada Yuzuki are Sakaki's friends. Shimada Yuzuki (the one with brown hair) is childhood friends with Momo's friend Shizuka Shouta. That's about it! It's entirely fitting this show that Momo-kun is the one that ends up getting lost at the festival and has to be rescued from random older girls trying to pick him up.

I really like Kurihara's revelation that she spends so much time looking at pictures of Momo that she hasn't actually gotten many good looks at Momo himself. It's a nice, sweet moment of realization.

Having skipped ahead a bit, I can safely say we have not gotten off the bus to crazytown yet, and I couldn't be happier about it. I just wish the manga translation wasn't so slow. There's 122 chapters on Comico, and Crunchyroll only has 40 of them. They seem to only be translating the physical volumes, and those come out ridiculously slowly, so it'll probably be like another six months before the manga translation even catches up to the anime. There is much lewdness from the webcomic I want to read properly...

The manga is good yes. I'm trying to read it on Comico and only barely following, my Japanese isn't quite there. Crunchyroll does seem to only follow the print version, and that seems to publish every 5 months. Last volume was 2 months ago, so still a long time to go before they get the next bundle of chapters. Currently they're at 40, chapter 41 is here if anyone else wants to try picking it up. Preview:  "...senpai." "Is being perverted... contagious?" "Huh?"
