The magic words are "final salary".

Good news, public sector pensions are no longer linked to final salary but against an average of your salary during your employment! Good news unless you're a public sector worker approaching retirement age, that is, as you've spent all those years paying into a scheme thinking it would suffice only to be told the terms have changed and you've lost most of it.

Nobody has to give up sex, nobody is suggesting that anyone should. The people who want prep drugs are the people who aren't willing to practice safe sex despite being in a high risk group. This is a needless drain on the NHS, and worse than that because all the people responsible for it are gay men it will be used to push AIDS as a "queer disease" just like it was in the 80s.

The problem is that said demagogues are responding to the question of whether they support wife beating with an unambiguous "Yes, and anyone who says otherwise is a traitor".

The usual reasons for calling Bragg a twat are because he's a socialist who speaks out against fascism and racism, or because the name caller is a Scottish nationalist.

I know we went through this last time, but:

Remain got 16,141,241 votes
Leave got 17,410,742 votes

The difference between the two is 1269501, which is just under 4% of the total of 33551983.

Conventionally, these are the numbers used when talking about winning by x percent. Talking about the gap to 50.1% is asinine . Of the people that voted, leave got a 4% higher share than remain.

You know this flaps.

Assuming he's talking about Remain needing only 2% of the votes cast, Pissflaps is accurate. A swing of 634751 votes would give a Remain victory. They only need a 1.269m gain if the votes come from elsewhere.

Depressing but plausible I guess.

The SNP are absolutely going to lose Banff and Buchan. Take that as a fact, not speculation: the SNP like to talk about how every Scottish authority came out in favour of Remain, but that doesn't mean every Scottish constituency did. Banff and Buchan voted 63% to Leave and they're pretty pissed off I hear. There's a smaller but not insignificant chance that Salmond will be unseated in Gordon as well, and I think Moray will possibly go Tory as well - it voted Remain by a hair and like B&B a lot of its population is in the coastal fishing communities.
