Turn 16 Dice are rolled, with what seems like an unusual number of doubles but probably isn't. UnCo3 and DivineCoffeeBinge love railroads, while Allen Wren loves almost paying water bills. Team Shoe pays rent, but Pez does so after passing Go so it'll be another Joker Challenge for you all to ignore again. Podima pays rent, bowmore bails out of jail and hops a train, and berenzen dodges silver bullets. Maigius just pays rent while chaoslord visits JakeP in jail. Blue joins TheNabster in jail, and PBS Newshour pays rent. oldskool lands on Chance, while Spigs and Absurd Revolver finally split up. That happens. (Also I forgot to photograph oldskool's Chance card, but it was Building and Loan Matures for $150.) Rerolls result in many boxcars. Aafter and Podima both hit Community Chest, while Pez and Absurd Revolver pay rent. The Chest pays out. No speeding tickets this turn. Podima joins berenzen on Luxury Tax, and Absurd Revolver lands on Chance. And buys an expensive train ticket, but passes Go to do so, so they still come out ahead. The state of the board. Aafter is threatening to raise rents again. So, for your Joker Challenge, we had a lot of railroad hits as well as some boxcar rolls. To celebrate, how about we have someone from each team record their best rendition of Runaway Train by Soul Asylum? Just the chorus would be acceptable. Deadline is Friday, 9/23 at 11:00 PM Pacific. MONEY TOTALS: TEAM HAT - JOKER 1. UnCO3 - $2236 2. Allen Wren - $1403 3. DivineCoffeeBinge - $1743 TEAM SHOE - JOKER 1. Aafter - $1035 2. Pez - $2182 3. Ron Roenicke - $2441 TEAM BATTLESHIP 1. Turn 17 At least one person did the Joker Challenge this time. Dice are rolled. DivineCoffeeBinge passes Go but hits Income Tax, while the rest of Team Hat pays rent. Aafter hits the blue bullet, the rest of the team pays rent. Podima visits jail, while the rest of the team pays rent (I sense a pattern here). Everyone on Team Thimble pays rent, ruining the pattern. PBS Newshour lands on Chance, while the rest of Team Cannon sits in jail. Team Iron sticks together (Spigs lands in jail, oldskool is just visiting). PBS buys an expensive train ticket. Rerolls risk Podima going to jail. Aafter crosses Go with the reroll, meaning starting turn 18, rents go up. Utilities will be the same, railroads will be $100, and other properties will have two houses. Also Podima lands on Chance. Speaking of paying for things, Podima's Chance card is fairly expensive. Podima stays out of jail for now. The current state of the board. MONEY TOTALS: TEAM HAT - JOKER X2 1. UnCO3 - $2136 2. Turn 18 Dice are rolled, with only one person getting doubles. Allen Wren gets Chance, UnCO3 gets Water Works, DivineCoffeeBinge pays rent. Reminder: rent is 2 houses now, and $100 for railroads. Pez gets Community Chest, the rest of Team Shoe pays rent. berenzen buys a train ticket, bowmore pays a water bill, Podima pays rent. JakeP dodges two blue bullets, and the rest of Team Thimble pays rent. Blue stays in jail, TheNabster gets out for free thanks to doubles, and PBS Newshour pays rent. Spigs stays in jail, oldskool gets Community Chest, Absurd Revolver pays rent. Community Chest cards all pay out cash, while Chance moves Allen Wren across Go and then charges him $80 for electricity. Reroll is unprofitable, moving TheNabster up to the yellows. The state of the board. But did everyone survive the rent increase? Allow me to do the finances and find out... ...Well, everyone is still in the game, but Team Thimble is in dire straits. Maybe chaoslord can convince someone to buy that Get Out of Jail Free card? MONEY TOTALS: TEAM HAT - JOKER X2 1. UnCO3 - $2096 2. Allen Wren - $1393 3. DivineCoffeeBinge - $1648 TEAM SHOE - JOKER 1. In thinking on it a bit more, it occurs to me that if we allow Nega-Jokers it will inevitably lead to people hoarding their jokers so as to be able to gently caress over other people. But on the other hand it might also encourage more people to participate in Joker Challenges so they can be well-stocked. So there's arguments either way.

Turn 19 Team Thimble uses a Joker... ...to some good effect. JakeP and Maigius both pass Go, chaoslord dodges two blue bullets and gets dubs, and JakeP gets Chance. The rest of the rolls (what's up with Team Hat all rolling 7's?) UnCO3 rides the Short Line, the rest of Team Hat pays rent. Ron lands on Go, Pez dodges Blue Bullets, and Aafter pays rent. Podima passes Go and pays the least rent, bowmore lands on Chance, berenzen pays rent. PBS Newshour passes Go for Community Chest, Blue pays bail then rent, and TheNabster pays... more rent than TheNabster can afford. TheNabster posted:Actual possibilities for eliminations oh my! You better believe it! Team Iron sticks together (except Spigs who is still in jail). Cards are drawn and... JakeP cannot afford the bribes needed to become chairman of the board. Rerolls happen. Podima pays rent, chaoslord buys a train ticket, Absurd Revolver lands on Chance. Which takes them to a train, but passing Go covers the cost of the ticket. The (unintentionally blurry) state of the board, with the graveyard in the middle. So, who is eliminated first? Since cards and rent should happen simultaneously, it comes down to the fact that JakeP had more money going into becoming bankrupt. Thus, TheNabster is out in 18th place, and JakeP is out in 17th place. Because of the Chance card, JakeP's bribe money will be divided evenly among remaining players (this comes to $35, with the bank claiming the cents rounded off). So, finances... Turn 20 Will another join the fallen? Only time and money will tell. Die rolls happen. Team Hat (except Allen Wren, ironically) rides the rails. I guess Allen Wren is indeed never going back. Team Shoe pays rent, and Pez crosses Go and lands on the railroad. Which means a Joker challenge is here. bowmore lands on Chance while the rest of Team Battleship pays rent. The slightly smaller Team Thimble pays rent. Blue pays rent while PBS Newshour visits Spigs in jail. Speaking of, Spigs pays bail and lucks out onto Free Parking. oldskool lands on Community Chest, and Absurd Revolver pays rent. Once again, Community Chest pays out while Chance demands a sacrifice. Reroll is boring. But puts Absurd Revolver on Free Parking, because (two thirds of) Team Iron sticks together no matter what. So for the Joker Challenge, how about a drawing (original works only do not steal) of the unseen entity who owns all this property and collects all this rent? Who are they, and what do they need this money for? Submission deadline is Sunday, October 9th at 11 PM Pacific time. MONEY TOTALS: TEAM HAT - JOKER X2 1. UnCO3 - $2131 2. Allen Wren - $878 3. Allen Wren posted:##Joker Team Hat uses a joker. Which nobody wants to earn apparently because you couldn't be assed to even draw a stick figure in MSPaint. Turn 21 I forgot to photograph the joker rolls but trust me, it was timely. At least for Allen Wren, who might have landed on Boardwalk otherwise. So yeah, Team Hat pays rent. UnCO3 buys a train ticket. Team Shoe pays rent, but Aafter is struck down by a blue bullet. berenzen is hit by the other blue bullet but at least survives. Team Thimble pays rent, with Maigius paying a small electric bill. But this turns out to be too much for chaoslord, who falls into bankruptcy. Team Cannon pays rent. Spigs goes from Free Parking back to jail, oldskool lands on Go, and Absurd Revolver pays rent. Spigs is angling for the win here, people. Dubs get rerolled (and I realize after this that chaoslord is out). Podima gets hit by a blue bullet, Ron gets hit by Chance. And Chance is kind, sorta. Ron's low roll means that even triple times ten is only 90 bucks for the water bill. Don't they know there's a drought in California? So, some housekeeping. Aafter and chaoslord are out on the same turn. Because chaoslord had less money to start the turn, they are out first in 16th place. Aafter is out in 15th place. Also, Aafter was our tortoise. While rents are probably high enough now to continue eliminating people, gently caress that let's accelerate poo poo. So, as the person furthest from passing Go (because they just landed on it), oldskool is now the tortoise. MONEY TOTALS: TEAM HAT - JOKER 1. UnCO3 - $2031 2. Allen Wren - $428 3.
