Well, as the z's would indicate it helps you sleep! How does it do this? Some magical mix of unique ingredients? No! Through 25 mg of diphenhydramine. That's right, the exact same stuff in generic brand sleep pills and allergy tablets! For $8 I recently bought a 600 pack of 25 mg diphenhydramine pills, because they do in fact work at making me tired and helping me sleep. That is 1.3 cents per pill. Zzzquil is 14.6 cents per pill! Benadryl seems to work for me every night, it kicks in after about 45 minutes and I feel the same way every time, heavy and tingly. I've forgotten it a few times and wondered why the hell I wasn't falling asleep before realizing, so I don't think it is a placebo, maybe I'm just extra sensitive to it.

I can't sleep after I smoke, I used to be able to back in college, but now it seems to make me hyper aware of my body in a way I can't explain and I can't fall asleep.

Isn't there research now saying that indica vs sativa doesn't really matter? I think it matters more how it's grown as opposed to sativa/indica. Or at least that's what the weed scientists these days are saying.
