Man U are not going to decline as badly as Liverpool did. Their ownership are way more financially competent and Man U are way too rich. Liverpool fans eager to see Man-U go through their own Souness and Evans eras will be disappointed.

It's also kind of silly grand prediction that bites you in the rear end. Like that horrible "come back when you've won 18" banner.

Yeah. Obv you want people who want to play, but those folks dont always do well with authority. If Sahko truly doesnt give a poo poo, ok, but this whole spat seemed to stem from petty personal differences.

From what I've read, it seemed like the fiasco during the US trip was more like the proverbial straw breaking the camel's back than the main reason why Klopp froze him out.

I take these kind of stories with a lot of salt, though. This kind of dirt always magically leaks when club or player management finds it helpful.

Whatever. It's still not remotely the same thing, and it's just weird to have people (almost all not actually United fans) catastrophising like this is an utter disaster. It's been 11 games with a new manager taking over a notoriously dysfunctional club and they're pretty much in the same position as they were at the end of the last season. What a shocker. I'm not saying it can't end up going very badly, but we're really not at that stage yet at all

I wish I could rhapsodize about how Man-U will never be good again, but things aren't that bad yet.

United are going to have to stick with whoever they've got and put together a more coherent style though. I''m not sure how exactly they play right now and Mourinho hasn't had nearly enough time to get them playing his way.

You may want to take my words with a big heaping of salt though. I would have given Van Gaal more time since it seemed like he had a feasible end vision in mind.

Schweinsteiger could be the Chicago Fire's version of David Ross. I'm going to write to Deadspin about this.

Why would MK Dons do that to themselves?

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

Gene Ricman or adumb or any other Everton fans: are you guys pissed off at Koeman yet? I feel like that team should be doing a lot better than it is right now.

Nevermind. They got an away win against Galatasaray during the round of 32 that season. BOO.

I don't see why Man-U couldn't win the Europa League. It'd be just the kind of thing they'd do just to piss me off.
