And in the blue corner, repping the home turf advantage, because he IS the home turf! It's Shadow255 as Iaxus the Shattered! The timelines are shifting, and reality is being rewritten! This bout will occur under special provisional rules, in anticipation of Trials of Indines! a) The Dash base will be replaced with the new Dodge base! quote:N/A N/A 3 b) We will be using a modified version of the Fate Force Gauge, to account for known changes pending for Trials. quote:Each player begins the duel with two Force. During the Recycle Step, each player gains an additional Force (or 2 Force if at or below 7 life), to a maximum of 10. Note that you can no longer Overcharge for Soak 2, and you cannot use the "Pulse" mechanic.

Poison Mushroom posted:Did Iaxus' discards not cycle? Correct, due to an oft overlooked but very crucial rule called "The Moderator is half awake." Fixed.

No worries. (And thanks for modding, GO, it's been too long since I played!) My sent in move is based on the actual discards, btw, so no need to clarify there.

Man, is this match as hard for you as it is for me?
|
# ? Oct 25, 2016 21:33 |

A little bit! Iaxus is a very complex character, and trying to read what you'll do next and respond to it (which is my normal style) is pretty drat hard. There's very few situations where I get a good catch-all solution, both because of Iaxus and because that's not really how Zaa works. So I have to exhaustively consider options. It's a very brain-burny game, and in a tournament, I'd probably block Iaxus just to avoid that, even if I thought I could win (which I'm very much not sure I can). See: Me entirely forgetting you have Seismic.

I think you probably have this game, honestly. It feels really hard to evade Iaxus without prediction, which means I have to rely on my rusty skill of guessing exactly what you're going to do. And you seem to be much better at that than me!

# ? Oct 27, 2016 04:23 |

Okay. Lotta choices for this one. Iaxus: Where do you move Zaam? Iaxus: Where do you move to after the attack? Zaam: Where do you want to move EoB. Also, Zaam gets his choice of Paradigm, but Iaxus will probably knock you right out of it, so.

Move Zaam to Range 1, such that the attack lands. Move Iaxus to Range 4. Zaam seems really powerful. I was talking to my friend (pantherbrujah), and he said Zaam was a top flight character, but he's also known for talking out of his depth. I have a few more thoughts I'll share in the general thread after the match is done.
