This is so true. I'm going to the NYC march tomorrow not because I believe it will change anything, but because my stepsister's wife was attacked because she was brown and had curly hair (she's native Hawaiian) on a subway yesterday. People are legitimately frightened, and a show of "No. This is not OK" can actually help, can show people who feel alone that they're not.
