maybe linux isn't the problem, maybe you just need to make your own distro.

my bitter bi rival posted:i wanted to install slackware when i was 15 and got two days of in-school suspension for downloading the isos on my high school's t1 line cause i was on 56k at home and didnt have a week to wait for the download.... they were doing nightly backups or something and the IT guy saw the huge file and flipped his poo poo. you just get a copy of the book with the disk in the back used. i was glad to have the book. too bad at the end of all the setup i discover that oops my modem isn't supported.
