He's still got a chance as long as he doesn't pull a stunt like Chris Tucker did at the Oscars or wherever that was. When he took the time to say he went to Africa with Bono, and everyone laughed. Except he was dead serious about his humanitarian trip and it was the opposite of funny. I watched that live and remember thinking it was a career suicide right up there with Jim Carrey's coked appearances on the awards circuit some years before.

he was just on the Hannibal Buress podcast and it sounded like he was super busy and doing ok. Chris Tucker owns in The Fifth Element and Rush Hour, notsomuch in other stuff.

Apparently he does stand up in LA clubs pretty frequently, he just doesn't tour theaters anymore. I've seen him on some of the advertisements for shows other comedians post on Twitter.
