I love my family and am excited about the prospect of spending time with them. The turkey tends to be too dry, unfortunately. I always thought turkey just tasted bad when I was a kid, until I went somewhere else one year and realized “Oh wait, it just my family that’s bad at cooking it.” This year they’re making both oven and smoked, so maybe it will be good. I don't really know what the political leanings of my family members are, outside of my parents, since they don't really talk about them much when I'm around- it's pretty awesome. Hell, even if the food sucks, I still enjoy their company. Too bad this will probably be the last year we have it at my uncle's awesome old house since he's selling it. I'm going to really miss that place, it was a huge part of my childhood.
