its the time of year to get comfy with some beautiful shots of snow capped mountains, blank canvases of natural space. what are some of your favorite snowy films? it doesn't have to be christmas themed, im thinking of stuff like The Revenant, or Dersu Uzala. or Hana-bi:  Spellbound:  Intentions of Murder (aka Unholy Desire):  The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (i apologize for the low quality screengrab I couldnt get the blu ray to play on my compy  ):

The Norwegian movie Pathfinder is the snowiest one I've seen. Tokyo Godfathers, which is also a great Christmas movie. The most iconic scenes from Lady Snowblood and Sex & Fury. And Ikiru. Some of the Abashiri Prison series. I recently saw The Tiger: An Old Hunter's Tale and that was pretty snowy and ridiculous.
