This thread is for talking about Multiplayer games in general, Co-op, Deathmatch, all that jazz. Is there an indie gem that scratches that itch well? All I've got for the moment is: http://store.steampowered.com/app/512900/Streets_of_Rogue/ Streets of Rogue, a top-down Deus Ex style game. Chaotic with up to 4 players online or offline, it works pretty well for what it does! Unfortunately it IS early access, but the guy doing the updates (yes, single developer) does so pretty often.

if you plug in a 2nd controller your friend can play as Tails and help you cheat so long as you don't run so fast that he can't catch up

I guess there's also 20XX http://store.steampowered.com/app/322110/20XX/ It's a Megaman X clone that allows for co-op, local and online. It plays exactly like the old megaman X games, and you get some fun upgrades like double-jump, but at it's heart it's a rogue-like, which makes for some pretty un-fun levels as things get harder. It WAS an Early Access game, and though it's out of it now, it never quite lost that "flavor." Good for what it is, but rogue-likes aren't for everyone.

I've had some good times with Pit People. Only played co-op so far, there seems to be a pvp thing going on too. They say Human Fall Flat is a pretty good multiplayer game. https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/human-fall-flat It's on sale for 6 bucks on fanatical currently, so I think I'll give it a try
