I thought this thread could focus on abandoned/closed places that are still in decent shape (despite not having really been used for decades), along with those that are open but have barely or never been renovated in years, maybe have a lot of old products on the shelves, etc. A couple that I've found—the first one, an old store and bar in the desert somewhere, has had a lot of stuff cleared out of it but still has 60s or 70s-era refrigerated cases, intact fluorescent lights, and some other stuff. The second one is an old gas station and store that actually has products from the 70s on the shelves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKcJnQYpGow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn06NtuLQNc

I haven't done anything like that in a while, but I can provide some content by linking to Bright Sun Film which regularly does videos on abandoned buildings or talking about abandoned or closed theme parks. It well edited too so it a great series. https://www.youtube.com/user/BrightSunGaming/featured

The Kam Wah Chung store and pharmacy in John Day, Oregon (that's the middle of loving nowhere even by Oregon standards) is now a museum since the Chinese guys who owned it just bailed and left it intact, including all the medicines and housewares and everything. It operated from the 1870s to around 1930. Everything's still there.

Another one by the guy who shot the first video I put up. An apparently abandoned, but pretty much completely intact house in the desert—it possibly hasn't been lived in since the late 80s or early 90s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTbozZHTAAI The guy is maybe a little annoying, but it's still one of the best abandoned (or possibly abandoned) houses I've found on Youtube.

What makes someone just abandon a house with all the stuff in it? https://www.thevintagenews.com/2016...rything-behind/

The Handicrafts Museum may not completely fit the bill but it's a pretty fascinating place and there's one abode that was left as is when the last occupant died in 1982. And it's just pretty cool otherwise since it is, as far as I know, the largest museum of its type in the world to remain entirely in its original location. Things going the way they are, it'll "mysteriously" burn down in a few years, the lot will be sold to one of the PMs 40 000 cousins, and they'll build a big Hesburger there.
