Finished Mom Isekai and the last episode had enough funny bits for me to say that this show is more Good than it is Bad if you're someone who doesn't mind nearly constant cheesecake. someone please make me a gif avatar of the bit where it goes to horror for a minute and there's the quick cuts of a million mamakos

Inuyashiki is the most CG heavy series they've done that I know of and that looked fine, if perhaps fittingly strange. though I admit I have a higher tolerance for CG than most.

i feel like there's a lot of that poster that captures the messy look of the source material well. i even like big round face nikaidoDavincie posted:new blade of the immortal has insane pacing, adapting about 400 pages in 40 minutes, wildly skipping and cutting content and its without a single second where someone isn't talking. despite the content warning they also show quite a lot less than the manga, and they took the manji out of manjis clothing which makes zero sense. voice acting is good enough but i see little reason to watch this instead of reading the manga. considering they plan on adapting all 207 chapters in 24 episodes i can only see the pacing get worse even if certain parts of boi did run too long

cool, thank you! that was all to say I watched the first episode of Beastars and I enjoyed it. not a manga reader but it felt like good adaptation, enjoyed the slower pace

it's moreso that it doesn't look it would have any texture if you touched it and reptiles def have a strong texture Shinji Kimura doing the world and backgrounds is good though, im optimistic

Yeah that scene doesn't look great, but like Wark said, mostly because they just linger as everyone else walks out of frame. I like a lot of that first episode, Legois and Louis' interactions had an interesting level of intimacy and Haru's faces and body language were cute and good. I read a bit of the first volume and felt that they captured how Legosi hunches and lumbers around pretty good. Seems like they're moving stuff around too

that synopsis honestly doesn't do beastars any favors lol it doesn't mention the inciting incidents of the first episode that would probably entice people ( the murder of a student at the hands of a carnivore and legosi grapping with his animal instinct to eat someone too )
